The competition will be in two categories, for photographers aged 16 and under, and those over 16.

The closing date for entries is 30 September 2010.

Entry forms, and the rules of the competion are also available from Jesmond Library.

The winners in each category will be awarded a free half day's photographic training with Henry Aarvold Photography www.henryaarvoldphotography.com. By arrangement with Henry Aarvold, the training can cover any aspect of photography, to meet your personal requirements.
The adult winner will also receive a copy of the new book, “Jesmond – from mines to mansions”, by Alan Morgan, while the “16 and under” winner will receive “Emperor of Industry – Lord Armstrong of Cragside” by Ken Smith.

In addition, copies of Alan Morgan's “Bygone Lower Ouseburn” will be presented to all other photographers whose entries are used in the Community Forum's 2011 Calendar.

We are very grateful to Henry Aarvold Photography and Tyne Bridge Publishing, Newcastle Libraries, for sponsoring the prizes.
